Switzerland : "mi Chue - ma vache - my cow"

Hello Europe!
We are happy to represent Switzerland for the first time!

Mobbing happens. Even in schools kids are discredited, isolated and intimidated. Joel – living in the Swiss mountains near Gstaad - has found a special way to heal his wounds as a mobbing victim.

Wow Switzerland,

What a really excellent entry this is! A really great theme in your song, very well sung, a fantastic video, partly in English and still very "Swiss"!

This song has a fantastic message! Besides learning something about your country, this video should open the discussion about bullying in all schools. Excellent educational material, this is!

No doubt this will do fantastic in the voting, I'm sure!

Our 18 month son liked the cow very very very much and asked us to repeat the song again and again!

Kind regards,

Dave from Belgium

I agree with Dave. This entry should really open a discussion about bullying in our schools so that we will put an end to the pain victims suffer.
Good luck from Malta.

I think this is a really wonderful entry Thomas- and I love that you have tackled the idea of bullying so openly. It was very interesting to watch my pupils' reaction this afternoon when they watched it in class- it proved very thought-provoking to them!

I also think the use of the cow is very clever, as we know how much children can associate closely with animals

And, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing a bit of the Swiss Alps, which look extremely inviting!

Good luck in the voting- and apologies for not commenting more quickly- you might have noticed that the SV blog is not displaying properly right now, and I have been trying to work out how to fix it.

Best wishes from Scotland.

Hello dear friends from Switzerland,
We were surprised with this entry because mobbing is a serious problem we have to fight against it. The video explained clearly the suffer of some children at school and we have to look for solutions to stop it.
Your children have done a great job and we really love to see your cows. Taking care of animals is always great.
Good luck from Canary Islands, Spain.

Thank you for the very important topic. We are talking about the problem with our older students and they know that they can count on us. The dialog is the real key that can help our children.

Thank for sharing and good luk for competition

The more I watch this, the more I love it.
Of course, the content and subject matter are controversial. But it's daring too. And it forces you to ask questions. We have asked lots of questions in my class as a result of watching it.
Not only that, to sing it in three different languages is pretty cool!
The video itself is fantastic. The little touches- like the Angry Bird socks- the characters who sing each verse- the cow's eyes- I could list many more.
This is absolute quality! I hope it does very well.

I agree with Michael. In order to appreciate how powerful this entry is, you should watch it several times. The subject is very serious and complicated and the presentation is perfect - the characters, strong, expressive voices of the children and a very professional, well thought-out video. I don't know if our very young children (7-8 years old) will be able to evaluate it properly, but it's an important theme for discussion with older pupils.
Good luck in the voting!

Tppk me several attempts till succeeding watching the clip.It is daring, painful and even depress. The isolation and alienatin were extremly expressed. Thanks God this child had a solution, there are many others who have none.
We, the teachers have so much to learn, to know and to help them all.
This is the most popular watched clip among my students.
Good Luck!
